Enhancing the Classroom with Edmodo’s New Features

Edmodo is an online platform that helps educators and students communicate and collaborate effectively. The platform offers a comprehensive classroom experience that teachers can rely on year after year. Its communication tools allow students to participate in social learning and express themselves more frequently, promoting active engagement in the classroom.

This year, Edmodo is introducing several new features to further enhance the learning experience. The Assignment Center is a new feature that enables teachers to create and grade assignments with ease. The new grading sidebar allows teachers to grade assignments faster when using Office Online for Edmodo assignments. The Progress Book feature allows teachers to set up grading periods with just one click. Additionally, the automatic saving of drafts feature eliminates the problem of lost work for students.

Edmodo also works seamlessly with other edtech tools such as Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and Office Online. Teachers can easily create and share documents with students and allow them to turn in assignments directly from these platforms. Moreover, the platform now like Edredo also facilitates direct messaging between teachers, students, and parents, allowing for quick and efficient communication.

To take advantage of these new features, teachers can copy a class group from previous years or create a new one, and connect their Google Drive or OneDrive to set up assignments. With Edmodo, educators can engage more students, reach more parents, and create a more collaborative classroom experience.
